In a world increasingly shaped by AI, information is everywhere. What matters is not only what we know, but also how we think, decide, and lead.

Tine Arentsen Willumsen knows this firsthand.

Her career didn’t follow a straight line. Over more than two decades, she held global leadership roles across industries, from Bang & Olufsen, where she headed 30 markets internationally, to the leading diamond conglomerate De Beers and later to building a global real estate company with Engel & Voelkers. Each chapter added experience, perspective, and insight, but also raised new questions about purpose and impact.

Instead of continuing a traditional executive path, Tine chose to change direction. Not because she had to, but because she believed that life as well as careers are not necessarily linear. And that we each have the power to take charge of our direction by staying curious, continuously educating ourselves, and being willing to unlearn and relearn.

That belief led her to found the international consultancy Above & Beyond and a leadership academy built on one clear conviction: the future depends on the leaders who can navigate the unknown and truly be inclusive in their behaviour.

As AI accelerates and knowledge becomes increasingly free-flowing, leadership needs to become even more human. Intuition, compassion and creativity cannot be automated and matter more now than they ever did.

At Above & Beyond, Tine is on a mission to help make the leadership of the world more gender balanced and to ensure greater diversity at decision-making tables. Better leadership doesn’t just shape better organizations; it also shapes better societies. Having delivered tailored leadership programs to advance more women into top positions for more than a decade now, Above & Beyond has the privilege og being the custodian of an alumni counting hundreds of brilliant female leaders from many different industries and countries. Recently, Above & Beyond merged with AVT Business School, opening the next chapter in Tine and Above & Beyond’s journey. A stronger academic foundation, broader reach, and even more learning ahead.
